Honeymoon idea.....Cap Juluca

I am fully aware that my job is planning the wedding and not the honeymoon, but I am strongly considering a new department of Mariée Ami after seeing these photos. One of the hardest parts about my job is waking up on Sunday morning so sore from all the work the day before that I cannot move while my sweet bride is flying off to an amazing get a-away. I know this is all part of it and it wasn't my wedding after all, but still.

For those of you just joining in on the blog...here is a little introduction!

Hannon was our September 17, 2011 bride and ...........

Cameron was our groom.

The happy couple's honeymoon was cancelled (not sure what happened to the first trip) so they booked a trip to Cap Juluca only a few weeks before the wedding.

Based on these photos, I would say they did just fine!

For those of you looking for a honeymoon spot, be sure to check to check out Cap Juluca.

Mariée Ami Wedding: Katie and Tracy

Katie and Tracy were married on October 15, 2011 at Swann Lake Stables. Katie and I first met when she was visiting Swann Lake. She was so excited about planning her barn wedding, but wanted a little help making her plans a reality. Katie and Tracy visioned fall colors, cowboy boots and a bourbon bar and that is what they got!

Sneak Peak into Lauren and Ben Duncan's Wedding

Lauren Johnston and Ben Duncan were married on Oct. 1, 2011. During Lauren's first meeting at Mariée Ami, she showed me a picture of a canopy of globe lighting. She told me that this lighting design was what she really wanted and that she had been told it could not be done. I took one look at the photo, called Jill with A.G. Lighting and made Lauren's lighting dream a reality. I am not sure if it was the lighting "magic" that landed us this AWESOME bride, but whatever it was, we are thrilled we got to work with her.

I want to save the whole wedding planning story for when we have all the photos in, but enjoy this sneak peak while we wait!!

Many thanks to the talented Stephen DeVries! I can not wait to see the rest of the photos!
